WHO WE ARE

Our mission as Ascension Rotaract is to provide a support network to effectively connect Rotaract and Rotary partners within our region. We work to foster the exchange of innovative ideas, empower leaders at all levels, and promote service above self in all activities across our clubs, districts, and the world to empower and elevate Rotaract.

Ascension Rotaract Network MDIO serves all Rotaractors and Rotary partners in clubs and districts across Rotary International Zones 25B, and 28 through 34. Specifically, this area encompasses the Eastern and Central United States, the Caribbean, and parts of South America.

MENTORSHIP

Whether this is in the digital space or during one of our in-person events, Ascension aims to facilitate interactions that can lead to mentorship opportunities for Rotaractors or Rotarians alike. In doing so, these associations create and strengthen Rotary partnerships that also provides much-needed career and professional guidance to Rotaract Clubs and their members.

CONNECTION

By having virtual or in-person events, the Ascension Rotaract Network remains visible and active for Rotaractors or Rotary partners to engage on topics like the areas of focus, professional development, leadership training, and fellowship. In doing so, Ascension ensures a strong and sustainable infrastructure that Rotaractors and Rotarians can rely on…in the years to come?

EDUCATION

Every year, Ascension aims to provide Rotaractors and Rotary partners with the most up-to-date information regarding Rotary infrastructure, training materials, membership education, public image tips, and sustainable service project developments. By doing this, Rotaract ideas, strategies, and opportunities are shared with districts and clubs to ensure prosperous growth in these areas.

PILLARS OF SUSTAINABILITY

ABOUT US

Founding Ascension

Within Rotary International, members are a part of an organization that can make global, sustainable change. Those of us who are young Rotarians or Rotaractors feel empowered to do more. We strive to connect with others who have the same goals of wanting to make a difference in our communities and in ourselves.

However, as we looked around us, we began to wonder, “Why are there not more Rotaractors having these moments of connection?” As we explored answers to this question, one common theme surfaced: the Rotary mentor relationship. Many of us who volunteer our time with the Ascension Rotaract Network have been influenced by Rotary members who invested in us as professionals, philanthropists, and most importantly, as human beings. As a result, we came to think of Rotary and Rotaract as a family, an extended network of friends who believe in and cheer for us in every aspect of life.

These relationships had a profound impact on us, and we wanted to establish an environment to provide the same opportunities to other Rotaractors. We hope that this environment of mentorship, connection, and education can foster opportunities where other young people can have their moment of empowerment. It is through these moments of individual change and growth that true progress, partnership, and creativity can flourish for the good of Rotaract and the good of Rotary as a whole. From these aspirations and our empowerment, the Ascension Rotaract Network MDIO was born.
